![]() Hi there, I just signed to share my knowledge about this issue, I was researching about this issue long time ago because I'm a PC Tech/Electronic, and I was facing this issues in my clients computers randomly(specially desktops with nvidia GPUs), at first I was thinking it was related to a Microsoft issues or bugs, but I was incorrect, it's appears that some applications or programs add/edit information in the public desktop.ini then the program just lock(mark as read only) the file to prevent any further modifications, I used two different computers to investigate this issue, one laptop and one desktop PC, both computers with the same operating system (Fresh install Win7圆4 SP1 up to date), and the desktop PC unfortunately ended with the issue after an nVidia driver install, now I will show you how the nVidia Driver was the culprit.
